Hay Advice
With Florences' new allergy, I'm looking into different types of hay.
The one they have at the moment is the hayforpets Timothy and Rye, which they love as it's corse and stalky. Since having it they refuse to eat thinner stranded hay like meadow
Does anyone know of any prepacked stuff that is stalky and has thick strands? I'm thinking I might get a bag and when I do their full clean out on Saturday use a different hay to see if that helps her ears.
I've also been looking at this website http://www.dustfreehay.co.uk/index.html has anyone here used it? I'm wondering if it would be less allergic seeing as it is dust free, not that the hayforpets is particularly dusty.
I'm just at a bit of a loss of what to do! They love their hay, but I have to think of Florences' ears too

Re: Hay Advice
The rwaf shop sell dust free hay so it must be ok. The alfalfa king and oxbow timothy hays are good and thick if expensive. I still think you should get the allergy thing double checked.

Re: Hay Advice
We use the Oxbow Organic Meadow hay (because the beast refuses anything else) it is pricey though, but he loves it.

Re: Hay Advice
My two absolutely love this stuff!
http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=120814854215&index=1&nav=SEARCH&nid=46306861472
And even hay hater Thumper ate a few bits
I'm not sure if it's as thick as you would like though... I can take a pic of it and send you it tomorrow if you want?
