Re: Guys please help
They may not have thought about using millophyline though, it would open up her airways. I know they commonly use it on cats, dogs and even hedgehogs If she has scarring in her nasal passages, then I would have thought opening up her airways would be a good idea. I wish I was a vet and could give you definite information
Re: Guys please help
Oh hun I wish I could help but I wouldn't know where to start but plenty of vibes and prayers for Jack. I hope she pulls through this.

Re: Guys please help
Jack is 1.2kgs
Charlotte was musing over what could have started this off again. To be fair it could be any number of things or nothing at all. It could be that a cat or a fox got into the garden and scared her, or the fireworks that celebrate the end of Ramadan... either way it doesn't really matter does it
Thank you for all your vibes guys. Charlotte when you're next online please could you give us an update?

Re: Guys please help
Hey guys, just got up to steam her again. She seems to perhaps be struggling a bit more.
Re: Guys please help
I don't know wht has started this. I tought it might have been hay last time and took it out and after a long haul, she got better. However she was insisten on sitting in Bri's litter tray which is full of hay as like most men, he likes to contemplate on the privvy and does a lot of hay munching there. And she was fine. So with this cold snap I put some back in their bed compartment. Then this started. So I feel like that could have been a trigger, which would be my fault. The thing is I have blankets in the other part of their hutch and to be fair Jack did most of her sitting , there, with Charlie, they only seemed to wee in the bed compartment. So I feel like it is my fault either way.
Re: Guys please help
I dont think it's your fault at all. Jack obviously has a chronic Respiratory Tract problem and will therefore be prone to a relapse at any time.
Could she now have a lower RTI too I wonder. This can also lead to a build up of fluid in her lungs, making breathing even more difficult. A heavy duty abx and a shot of diurteic might b helpful in such a case.
Whilst the steroid she had was necessary to tackle acute inflammation it could have impacted on her already frail Immune System so bacterial infection could potentially be exacerbated. Baytril alone may just not be enough at this stage.
So sorry to read of how poorly Jack is
