When a bunny is in excited binky mode why do they run really fast in a circle? Is there a reason behind it?

Piper will do it as soon as I leave the room after I feed her Laughing It's so funny, I'll hear her zooming around her area and knocking things over Laughing Laughing

Maybe it's to keep their muscles and reflexes in shape in case they need them. My two do it round their compound and sometimes if they get a fright they take off down their burrow or under the hutch.

Evo does it when he has access to the living room, I don't think he has enough space to get up to full speed otherwise. Laughing He does a slow circuit first to scout out his route, then a few laps of full speed mentalness! Laughing

Bit like a bunny wall of death. Be good if we could get them on motorbikes!

None of my rabbits have ever run in laps, they often binky but not in a pre-determined direction.

Maybe they are just too lazy Hmmm
