I got bitten by a snake when I was a teenager, just a smallish grass snake on my index finger.....but it really freaked me out, and I haven't liked them too close to me much since! My daughter has a Royal Python named......VERY bizarrely!......Monty like yours! Shocked So I don't have much choice than to be around him. *sigh* They ARE fascinating to watch, though!

Aww, I miss our Monty....he was a corn like your Chompy. He never bit me but our Everglades Rat Snake did and he used to go for my face of all things pale
