MINDY IS HERE
I am so happy, but also feeling like a complete idiot. She was in the house all the time.
I don't know where she was hiding, but was upstairs when I hear some scrabbling on the
laminated kitchen floor. To be honest I thought it must be my imagination at first, but
when I got downstairs there she was. She must have been behind the washing machine
or the dishwasher. I cannot believe I did not pull them out yesterday, but was sure that
if she was there, we would have heard her at some point.
Anyway, you are all absolutely wonderful and I cannot thank you enough for your support.
I am now crying with relief and also with an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for having all
of you on my side. Sorry if that is slushy, but I don't care.
Mindy :luv: :luv: :luv: has now been fed and watered, had loads of cuddles and is now sitting at my feet.

Re: MINDY IS HERE
I've only just caught up yesterdays posts so I've gone from OH No, to YEY!!!!! in a couple of minutes.
I'm so glad she's been found and that she is OK. I'm still amazed at the small spaces they managed to hide in!
It must be a huge relief

Re: MINDY IS HERE
horay! Wobbles (my first rabbit who died last year) did that - we were sure he had gone out the front door but he had gone through a tiny hole under the kitchen units, through a hole in the wall where the pipes go and under the bath behind the panel. I was sitting on the loo crying then suddenley heard scratching and hey presto! one naughty rabbit! So happy for you! Yippee!

Agree with that. I am also amazed that she was obviously hiding or trapped for almost 20 hours and did'nt make a sound. She would have been on floor boards, so would have thought we would have heard scratching at some point.
I was about to pull out washing machine last night but Roger said we would hear her if she was there.

Re: MINDY IS HERE
Oh yey!! I am so pleased for you, this was the news I was hoping to see this morning. They really do get in some odd places, so far when a hosue bun has gone missing I have always known there was no way they could get out so just played the waiting game for them to appear again.
Fiver once hid behind our washing machine and we found him when he flooded the kitchen after chewing through the cold water pipe....

That is wonderful news. I missed the thread about her going missing. They are so good at squeezing into places where they shouldn't be. Hope you have a better day today.

She certainly did scare me half to death.
But now she is just sitting there looking
all cute and innocent.

Re: MINDY IS HERE
Fantastic news I am so glad Milly is safe and sound.
I spent a horrible time scouring fields for Rosie a few months ago. She had somehow squeezed under and then behind the hutch in her and BJ's shed when I found her

Re: MINDY IS HERE
Glad she is safe.
My parents "lost" Treacle once, she had been running round the garden then she was gone.
They looked in the kitchen (back door was open) then started hunting through peoples gardens.
Then mum heard a noise in the kitchen and realised she hed squeezed down a 10cm gap turned a corner and then somehow got under the fridge!
Took them ages to get her out!

Re: MINDY IS HERE
Treacle How did she manage that!!!!!
We are still not 100% sure where Mindy was hiding or trapped. Although
she is only just over 3 months old, being a french lop, she is already bigger than any of my other 4 buns. but she does manage to get into an 8 cm gap behind the sofa It is, therefore, likely that getting behind washing machine or dish washer was a doddle but just not as easy to get out.
Loving all the emotions.
AND YOU LOT ARE PURE DEAD BRILLIANT!!!!!
I cannot thank you all enough.
