ARGH, Sometimes I could scream....the joys of being...

...a multi-rabbit household.

Lexie & Mackenzie just invited themselves into the living room whilst their door was ajar as I changed the hay and the little blighters made a beeline for Juno's cage. Both of them are pretty unrabbit tolerant but Lexie is also very jealous and flipped out at Mack being near Juno, que me running in after hearing the commotion to see tufts of fur flying round the living room and a bemused dog hiding behind the sofa.

Mack was trying to give as good as he was getting but having no teeth was just coming off worst. Split them up and in true style guess who is the only one bleeding.....me!

They are both on a time out in the carrier to think about what they have done and hopefully kiss & make-up

*hands sooz a soothing cuppa and gives the bunnies a stern frown and that they should reflect on their actions in time out*

i now know why fudge is a single spoilt housebun!

Lol, it's not the pairing that causes the issue, it's having more than one pair!

One of my friends was telling me that she got bitten through her fingernail by her bun She has two female who have unbonded and trying them together to see if anything had changed. The dominant one started to scrap with the other one, so Karen picked her up and she bit her hand! It must have been soooooo sore.

I am hoping that your silence indicates bunny contentment and lots of nice strokes and not a wounded Sooz desperately trying to staunch the flow of blood from her many oozing bites!!

Well, it's all a bit odd really....they are absolutely fine in their crate together but as soon as they get a little space and start to hop about Mack starts on lexie, chasing and gumming her backside.

She just runs off but I know it wont be long until she flips out at him and he will be the one who gets hurt. I'm also worried about the impact the stress may have on her so I have confined them to the crate for a few days.

Well Lexie has had her b***h (it's to be expected when you're supposed to be married and he goes off looking at the single gals), and mack has had his strop (because he is a male and thats what they do when they know they are wrong and got told off but have no decent excuse) - hopefully that means it's out their system
