Crystal Empty Crystal

Post by Lynda Sun Dec 07, 2008 6:27 pm

Our wee Crystal has had glaucoma for a while now and, even after trying different types of medication, she now needs to have one of her eyes removed. She's having this done tomorrow and I'm soooo nervous about it. Alice (one of the Royals) had one of her eyes removed not so long ago due to a build up of infection behind it, and she's recovered nicely. However, Crystal is 'special' in that her other eye isn't that great and she has limited sight in that one, and she's also deaf as a post. Luckily she's bonded to Frosty and we know he'll take good care of her but she's a wee fighter and has always tried to be independent, we're just hoping that this isn't going to upset her too much.

So, please can she have lots of vibes from everyone, I love her so much Embarassed

Thank you guys Smile

Crystal's operation went very well, Chris (vet) is very happy with her. She's still got the packing in her socket but, all going well, she gets this taken out tomorrow afternoon. Unfortunately she's not been able to go back in with Frosty yet cos he started to pull her packing out himself Shocked , so they're separated till tomorrow.

She's been a good girl and has continued to eat and poop and drink and munch hay, so she's taken it all not too badly, thank goodness! We'll have to see how she gets on when she's back in her own house but hopefully she'll cope fine.

Thanks for all the vibes, you're all really nice ... did you know that? Laughing
