RIP Little Rattie and Wildie :(
I went to muck out and so forth this morning at the stables. The yard's dog was scratching incessantly at my horses door. Its a weird dog and I thought no more about it. I opened the door to go in with the mucking out stuff and I heard a terrible shriek. The dog had shot behind Woody's water bucket and had got a rat. I managed to get her out and shut the door, but the owner of the yard came over and said "its a rat" and opened the door and let the dog get it. It was one of the most awful things I have ever seen and heard and I am just sorry I couldn't have done more. I tried to conceal it but the squeak had given it away. Luckily it was all over very quickly but I just wanted to acknowledge this lovely rat and say that I am sorry I couldn't do more. Scurry free little rattie.
I also saw a dead wildie by the owners back door too. Bunny BBQ's are not uncommon there and are actual events in the summer This one looked like the dog had had it again. binky free little bunny

Sick.
Poor little ratty. At least it was quick.
And RIP little wildie. I hope your friends aren't barbecued this summer. So cruel

Re: RIP Little Rattie and Wildie :(
I had it confirmed from my mum, the little bunny was got by the dog. This happened the day before when my mum had been on morning horse duty. She got the bunny off the dog but the dog bit her and got it back. The poor thing was screaming.

I don't understand how people who love horses and dogs (although this one would sound hard to love) can't see how cruel they are being to other animals. Poor little things.
