Re: McQueen
They are very rare in this country, however they are around but you have to look. Most of them are in black and white not Madagascar and white but they are around if you look. I have never seen one in a rescue, most have to go to a breeder. A few people have told me they want a pap after seeing McQueen and I have given them the details of a really lovely breeder if they can't find one in a shelter. He is nice. I needed advise after I got McQueen and I could not find anything on paps online so I routed out a breeder to ask (that was hard enough). This guy is a mature man and only had one working hand but still took the time to write me long emails helping me with this breed. So if anyone ever wants a pap but doesn’t come across one in a rescue let me know. Obviously I have to respect that this forum is rescue orientated so it would have to be via PM.
They are also called chequered giants.

Re: McQueen
I take it Neil like paps then?
They are ok but I am not a huge fan of their personality....they do look stunning for showing if that’s what your into I suppose.
I really want to meet other people with paps I never hear about them.

He has been after one for a long time but whenever they com up in rescue they are snapped up immediately, quite obvious why really :luv:
Are they known for being mischevious?

They are known as a very stubborn breed...I would agree lol.
They are also known for being rather skittish then most breeds and can sometimes be snappy.
McQueen is very friendly, just a pain in the backside.
They are very intelligent though. I am clicker training McQueen at the moment and he pretty much knows his own name, rather then tone, and he likes to play fetch with a ball. Something else he likes to do is take my wallet off the table (yes he can reach and grab things from the table nothing is safe ) and run off with it. Things are always going missing around here and its murder as I am trying to leave before work. I really got mad with him the other day because the little git ran out of his cage as i was giving him his breakfast...I was something like an hour and thirty mins late.
I never knew you got them in rescues, as I have never seen one. But yeah I suppose they would go quickly. I am always seeing wanted posts on places like free ads for them. They are beautiful to look at its not surprising people want them.

I am sure she is going to be very happy to see him again soon….not.
He needs his nails cutting and there is no way me and Chris will succeed with that…I am not sure how she will either but I suppose the three of us will find a way of pinning him down :lol!: .
He also needs his jab and I want her to look as his teeth.
Re: McQueen
My late Rex Callisto was clicker trained, she came when called, begged and gave kisses on demand. The only rabbit I have ever had any success clickerwise with, mainly because she was so food orientated.
Re: McQueen
Its the naughty bunneh himself!!!!
