new enclosure!! finally, pictures!!!!!
Hiya!! I hope this works this time... Ok here is the new enclosure, it is 9'x13'6". It has 2 hutches (open) in it and loads of toys, and the little blighters are already working on a burrow but I am not going to let it get out of hand like the last one! The enclosure panels arrived Friday & we built it & moved them in last weekend. So far so good!

Re: new enclosure!! finally, pictures!!!!!
Don't worry too much about the burrow as long as it isn't going under the fences. Mine dug themselves a burrow which is about 7ft deep and love to hide in it during the day sometimes. Really freaked me out the first few times because it was like the Marie Celeste and I thought the ******* had escaped!
The set up looks really good. Plenty of room for them and lots to do.

Re: new enclosure!! finally, pictures!!!!!
yes mine are ungrateful too. their temporary enclosure they were in was only 7'x8' and the first day they moved into this new one they were doing nothing but binkies and looked like all their birthdays had come at once. Now they look like sullen teenagers again! I do love them though. I am not bothered about them making a burrow as long as I know where it goes! At the moment it is right in the middle, not near a fence, and I can see the end of it, but I am afraid after their 2 metre + one of a few months ago they will end up next door!

my 2 wild buns can jump and climb extraordinarily high. and they are persistent until the crack it. you might have seen Nettle in the rafters of his barn. Lee also worked somewhere with a tree which have a fork half way up it and every day a little wildie was sitting in the foliage of the fork sunbathing!

Wow, that looks great! What a lovely space for them.
Yeah, you're right - when I had outdoor buns, no matter how big their enclosure or how many toys they had, all they were interested in was digging! Ah well, they are bunnies, I suppose

Re: new enclosure!! finally, pictures!!!!!
what do you all think I should do, if anything, for a roof? I like there being no roof because I can walk in easily which makes it a joy to go in. And we are in and out all the time! And I am not too worried about predators - not foxes at all really, but a little about cats. Not mine, mine are lovely and used to live indoors with Angel & Stardust but I cant account for neighbourhood cats.

Sorry Erin, I completely missed this one somehow? That looks like a nomadic teepee-type camp for bunnies! Brilliant Moonlight is a beauty :luv:

Re: new enclosure!! finally, pictures!!!!!
thank you! I :luv: them. They seem happy out there. The earth is just a quagmire of mud so I have dumped loads of hay on it just so we dont all sink. They really like it! Moony is lovely. Her winter coat is kind of splotchy whereas in the summer she was a really smooth silver so I am looking forward to seeing what she is like this summer.
