Rubbishy food saved the day?! U/d 9th July
As some of you will know, we have had BIG problems with Daniels tummy due to the poor little bunny being put through a LOT of stress recently. Anyway, not sure what made me do it but the other day I saw a little bag of russel rabbit in a pet shop and thought Hmmm. So, I bought it, and gradually introduced it...Hes on half RR & half SS now, and he has the BEST poops hes had since he came here!!! YAAAAY, We are veeeery happy bunnies! X

Really glad you've found something that helps. I do think that some bunnies find pellets tough on their tummies, for whatever reason. I know some people with bunnies with repeated stasis have successfully swapped back to a mix.

Ditto, I again know of rabbits who do well on a mix. I assume it's to do with an inability to handle certain levels of minerals and vitamins.
My oldest bunnies all lived off a mix too

Mix it is indeed! Hes still getting the SS too so hopefully getting all the good stuff he needs! They are so confusing, you try to do your best by giving them the best you can, and they thrive on rubbish. Im just so chuffed its clearing up and keeping my fingers firmly X'd that the daily bum baths are a thing of the past XX

give him the equivalent of burgers and chips and he'll be happy, yet a fresh green salad is rejected.

Just like people!
I'm just swapping Tibbler over from Russel Rabbit (which she's been on since she was a kitten) to excel supa rabbit pellets - she's got sooo much more energy! I can't quite believe it's the same bun.
So glad Daniel is feeling better though.
