So Freaked Out Empty So Freaked Out

Post by Catsknickers Tue Mar 24, 2009 10:16 pm

I was just sat here chatting to Sooz on FB, with Chance and Blanket (formerly known as Annie) in their cage and Charlie and Brian out. I heard this horrendous rabbit scream from right next to me. When I looked Chance and Brian were both fast asleep, they hadn't even woken up. Blanket was playing and seemed to be oblivious and Charlie looked startled over to where the sound was coming from, but not in pain or distress. I have no idea who made the sound or why? Charlie immediately started eating. Bri eventually woke up and just started hopping round, Chance carried on napping and Blanket carried on playing. What on earth happened. I went and checked on Lily and Sandy but they are both fine. I knew the sound hadn't come from outside though.

Can rabbits scream in their sleep, if they are dreaming? Me and Sooz were baffled. It has been about an hour now and everyone is still fine?!

That is so bizarre! Shocked

Same sort of thing happened to me with Alfred. I was sitting on the couch watching TV and I heard a scream from Alfred's room. I ran in there and he was happy as a clam munching on some hay Hmmm I checked him over, made sure he wasn't hurt or anything but I couldn't figure out for the life of me what had happened!

He wasn't asleep but still as confusing! I hope everyone is fine!

OMG - that happened to me with Rosie too once! Shocked

I always meant to post about it but forgot. It was the loudest scream, I nearly fell off my chair, it was awful! I had never heard of it before except if they were in extreme danger or pain.

Oh well, it seems as if it can happen - that's 3 of us so far!

I'm glad they are all ok.

I've only ever heard a wildie scream, and I hope I never hear it again - it's so scary and heartbreaking. Crying or Very sad

Never heard of them doing it in their sleep - how weird! Mozart cried in his sleep once and it totally freaked us out though. We thought it was a baby! Laughing

Maybe they're conspiring to try and freak you out...

"Bri you pretend to be asleep, Blanket, you "innocently play with your toys" and I'll act nonchalant. Then one of us let out a ripper and watch her s**t herself" Laughing Twisted Evil

Seriously though, that is weird... Maybe Bri was dreaming or something?

How strange!! I've never heard a rabbit scream and I'm dreading the day I do, I may have heard wildies do it outside I guess but I wouldn't know the sound to recognise it.
