Dumped By the Side of a Road.....
Yes that is right I was collecting Bob from the Vets and got the phone call to say please help we have found 5 yes 5 big bunnies by the side of a road, so I jumped in my little car full of cat boxes to our local RSPCA Cat woman's house where they were till I got there.
I was straight on the phone to Charlotte for her help as I needed an extra pair of hands to sex them and have a general health once over till I can get them to the vets tomorrow. We have a Mummy, Daddy with plums together (Oh no watch this space BABIES AAARRRR) two girls and a boy all together (Oh No). Yes as you can tell the air with both me and Charlotte was a little on the blue side. My daughter took video clips but I think I may have to bleep it a little.
Can someone help with what breed and I looking at what I can say is mum and dad are about 2ft in length relaxed not lying down they would be longer.
Here's the pics
Mum and Dad :luv:
both sister's however one is camera shy.
and last but not least our little or not so little boy.
the condition their nails are in all over grown and all the bunsters were without food and water for I don't know how long.
This is the basket mum and dad were in it is 2ft wide x 1 ft deep x under 1 ft in height. The two girls and boys were placed in a plastic tub with cardboard tied to the top of it to stop them getting out.

Re: Dumped By the Side of a Road.....
We cannot stress how hungry and thirsty these guys were. The mum and dad, drank a massive bowl of water in the space of about an hour. Maybe less.
They are all so gorgeous. This has breeder written all over it to me as well. The pics don't show just how stunning these guys are. They have the most beautiful faces as well. I fear there may well be ALOT of babies on the way here.
I just wanted to cry. I can't believe what these guys have been through. Dawn you are an angel!

Re: Dumped By the Side of a Road.....
Oh my goodness they look just like my former housemate's bunny who was a fawn lop. They are just beautiful but what a sad story. I hope they are ok health wise and find lovely homes soon...
....and that there are not too many Easter bunnies on the way

Re: Dumped By the Side of a Road.....
The suspicious thing is someone later rang the RSPCA and asked if 5 large bunnies had been found, oh and the guinea pig that they were dumped with. Don't worry, RSPCA found a home for the guinea striaght away.
Re: Dumped By the Side of a Road.....
All the buns are doing well this morning and are booked into the vets this afternoon. Looks like the boys will be castrated tomorrow yipee. Will give up an update on our return. (I do hope no babies) .

Re: Dumped By the Side of a Road.....
Well they have had their visit to the vets and yipee both me and Charlotte got the sexing spot on. We have two girlies and a boy. All have had a manicure and health check, I have to keep an eye on one of the girlie buns as yes she could be with kitten, Vet was unsure of the other but it could be early days. Mum however fingers crossed is all clear.
The Boy (Dad & Son) have been kept in for castration first thing tomorrow morning and I can collect them Saturday.
Here's the good news Mum and Dad may have a new home to go to as the Vet receptionist fell in love with them as she lost hers to illness Christmas Eve. :luv:

Re: Dumped By the Side of a Road.....
That is just wonderful that some of them are rehomes so quickly and to someone who obviously knows about buns. Hope the others are as lucky.
Sending unpregnant vibes for the girl bun.

Re: Dumped By the Side of a Road.....
How fantastic that they have homes lined up already. Brilliant news, and well done for finding space for them Dawn.
Re: Dumped By the Side of a Road.....
How awful that they could be just dumped like that, that is really terrible, good job you got them and were able to look after them, can't the owners be traced? they should be prosecuted.
