Sooz, Jay - something strange re HH.

Had to log into HH today, but before I did, I noticed several words, even on the header have been highlighted and linked to eDintorni advertising. They vanished once I had logged in.

Have we been hacked into?

ETA, I just logged out and then on again, and it's Google ads, which I suspect is the Forumhosts doing. It's a way of raising revenue and as the forum is free, we may just have to put up with the odd ad. etc. But Sooz will probably know

It's how the forum hosts make their money to keep the forums running for free, they pick up on certain words and provide a link to something relevant for them. It only appears like this to guests (so when your not logged in).

I had to kick up a stink a while back as the word 'rabbit' was linking to some unsuitable sites.

Duh - I hadn't noticed this before
