Bad bunny Mum
I just trapped Tibbs' paw in her hutch door!!!! I went to top up her hay rack and she decided she wanted to poke her nose out of the door and have a good look round. The dogs were out so I gave her a gentle shove back inside and closed the door, not realising her little hind paw was still sticking out a tiny bit. She squeaked and stropped off - the skin doesn't seem to be broken and she's not limping but I feel so guilty!!!

Re: Bad bunny Mum
Am sure she knows you didn't do it on purpose. I tread on Johns all the time or shut him in the door of the hutch cos he too busy trying to escape back out!

Re: Bad bunny Mum
I put a post up a few weeks back feeling very guilty because I poked Mr. Magoo in the eye with his comb! I felt so bad for ages afterwards. I know exactly how you feel. She'll forgive you:). Maybe some tasty greens or a piece of banana will help...
Re: Bad bunny Mum
Bribe her! I find mine soon forgive me if I give them something yummy to eat. I would give her paw another quick check in the morning though...just to be sure it hasn't swelled during the night.
Re: Bad bunny Mum
I think she's forgiven me this morning, when I opened a brand new bag of baby spinach for her. Luckily I still can't see any swelling.
For some reason I always feel more guilty when the bunsters get hurt than anything else. Usually if I ttread on a cat for example (which happens a fair bit round here) it's because the b****y thing was under my feet...

Re: Bad bunny Mum
I have kicked rabbits before when they insist on walking through my feet... I felt so guilty but they soon seemed to forget if something yummy was dangled in their direction. And were soon walking through my feet again!
Re: Bad bunny Mum
Yesterday I tripped over something of Maddie's and fell onto Johns who was pottering around the front room. I trod on him quite hard then whilst trying to regain my balance, he moved forward and I trod on him again
Poor little thing was limping and shivering - he wouldn't come near me, even to have a blackberry which I peace offered - I felt awful
It took him half hour to recover from my fat **** nearly crushing him to death.
