Worried about Lola :o(
Hi everyone,
I am really worried about Lola, she LOVES her grub and as soon as she sees me with her food she is all over me. This morning she just sat there looking very uninterested and then turned her back on me. Tried to offer her a treat which normally she fights Lotta for but this morning she sniffed it and turned away again.
Fed them both about an hour and half ago and she is still just sitting there with her back to us and hasn't even attempted to eat her food :o(
How long shall I leave her before I take her to the vets ? Am so worried about her
TIA

Re: Worried about Lola :o(
How is Lola now?
My Gloria sometimes stops eating and does start again. Usually it is in response to a fright or upset, but I usually get her checked out to be on the safe side.
You can always try to get her to run around a bit and see if that makes any difference, but don't leave it too long.

Hi,
She is going to the vets tomorrow. Had her in doors and she was hopping around but then just laid on my lap or on the floor, she has been drinking but not eating :o(
Tried her with another of her fave treats and she turned her nose up again :o(
Will keep you posted - am so worried :o(

Re: Worried about Lola :o(
Has she toileted at all this evening and what have you tried to tempt her with?
It is very important that she see's a vet as stasis becomes harder to reverse the longer it goes on and she is quite likely to be expereincing some pain.

Re: Worried about Lola :o(
make sure she see's the vet first thing in the morning, if i had seen this earlier i would have commented sooner. if any of my buns act like this i take them down the vets asap, it sounds like gut stasis to me, and the longer its left the worse it gets. (not trying to scare you!)
keep tempting her with foods, yummy things like curly kale and carrot tops, and keep her somewhere warm.

Re: Worried about Lola :o(
Ah, Rory did this a last year and scared the life out of me. I gave him Infacol and tummy rubs and made him run around, He often gets a bit of a tummy ache and this does the trick!
