Chewing!
Hello,
One of my bunnies has the tendancy to chew everything, and as a result there are teeth marks and chunks out of many places in the hutch, ramp and other places!
I know they do a chew spray for dogs, do they do one for bunnies and is it any good?
any tips?
Thanks

Re: Chewing!
Bunnies are born to chew and won't differentiate between what they can and can't chew! My OH has attached metal mesh (used for edging plasterboard) onto parts of BJ and Rosie's hutch.
I seem to think Pets at Home sell a deterrant but it will need applying every few days. Some people suggest using lemon juice but it doesn't work with all bunnies.
Does your bun have plenty of alternative playthings eg treat balls, toilet roll innners filled with hay, willow chews, apple branches. These 'might' distract him from chewing hutches. Then again they may not, the chairs in our conservatory are nicely customised despite alternatives to chew on

update
Hello,
Update on my Bunnies! they are now both inside, enjoying the luxury of a 12x12 conservatory!
Just would like some advise...anyone who has some creative ideas for chewing toys without spending alot of money! Would spend the money if it works
Got toilet rolls and cardboard boxes in there. Also the little fruit shaped woodern chews...someone suggested willow balls..
Any other 'homemade' ideas?
Thanks!
Jai

Re: Chewing!
You can get chew toys like willowballs from P@H or you can buy them on-line from Pampered Piggies
