Bunny Ears
You might all do this already but Jiggy has got an ear infection and I had no idea because he is a lop and, as my vet said, rabbits never shake or scratch if they do have an ear problem and they often get bunnies in with ears full of puss/debris/wax. So just a reminder to check those ears!
(He now has nerve damage to his cheek and one side of his face is pulled back like he is smiling and he has slow reactions in his eye as their facial nerve goes through the ear or something - that was the only sign something was wrong so his ears must have had problems before that and you had to look right down to see the debris/build up)

Good reminder!
Poor guy. I hope he feels better soon, good thing you found it when you did!

Re: Bunny Ears
That vet is wrong, they do shake their head/wipe their paws over their ears.
But it's true, one should check the ears from time to time, I plead guilty not doing this often

Re: Bunny Ears
oh well maybe some don't and some do then. Jiggy didn't at all and I spend a lot of time watching him coz of his teeth and she said she often finds ears really bad with owners oblivious so maybe is a mixture.

I was going to say this as Lexie (Dwarf Lop) did it when her ears were playing up and she had Bells Palsy (damage to the facial nerves which cause the face to appear dropped or lop sided) from multiple Pasteurella related inner ear infections. We used injections of Oxytetracycline LA to control it but as it was deep inside the ear canal there was no actual debris that could be seen by the naked eye.
Re: Bunny Ears
weird Jiggy's face is the opposite - isn't dropped but pulled back like he is smiling and he has poor blink reactions in his eye.
