Made the mistake of looking on Dorset Exchange and Mart website - there are 4 rabbits looking for new homes - stresses me out worrying that they will go for snake food, someone just looking for a free pet etc. One is for rehoming a male as they thought they had 2 girls but now have 6 babies. The last time I looked on there for a shed i ended up getting Jigsaw!!

I can't remember if it was on here or another web site, but I know what some people do is respond to the ads to inform the owners of this scenario. I think, most of the time, when someone re-homes for free their goal is to get an amazing home (as in there is no price they could put on an animals life). Perhaps if you just let them know that free rabbits often go to horrible places they might rethink their ad?

I always feel weird about "overstepping" my boundaries, but no harm in trying I guess.

Well done for emailing them.

I bottle out and avoid such ads, I find it so distressing and know I am in no position to help.

I'm the same, want to help everyone!
Like the others said you can only inform them and just doing that might make them think about it more. Well done.

I'm liking the new super hero idea, I'm concocting an outfit in my head now, it's involves a fluffy tail and ears, just has to have pants over tights BUT no cape. I always think of Edna Mode in Disney's The Incredibles, telling Mr Incredible "No Cape's" as some of the super's who had them died from it getting sucked into jet engines, tornado's, whirlpools etc Laughing
So what's out new bunny hero's name?
