A Funny Story I remembered.
I was at my friends last night. She is my Maid of Honour and we were having a make up rehearsal. Anyway she is rabbit mad also and we were discussing 2 of her special bunnies who are now at the bridge.
Flopsy was an elderly dutch who had chest problems. He was on anti biotics and he and his partner were staying in a make shift hospital in the utility room that my friend liked to call "The Department of Currant Affairs".
Roberta was Flopsy's loyal wife. She was also somewhat of a character and a legend in bunny history now. Corrina left them over night and in the morning came down and trued to open the door to the "Department of Currant Affairs". It was hard going and when she eventually got in she found devastation. Roberta was on the work top (How she got up there we still don't know). She had thrown down to Flopsy a stack of newspapers that he had spent the night shredding. Corrina was now knee deep in the shredded paper and that is what had caused the blockage behind the door. Roberta had also kindly pulled all the washing out of the washing machine and bitten holes in it selectively and tipped Flopsy's anti biotics down the sink.
Corrina said that Flopsy's face was a picture, he just looked at her, sat in amongst all his lovely shredded paper, as if to say "Don't look at me, I am ill"!
Bless em. We did have a lovely old chat about past bunnies last night.

Re: A Funny Story I remembered.
What a suprise, Flopsy's a dutch! I decided I had had quite enough of Dutch naughtyness in my house post-Marley instigagted electrocution!
Re: A Funny Story I remembered.
I have to say, I am amazed that Ratman isn't naughty. He is the best behaved rabbit I have ever owned which goes against all things dutch. Every dutch I have had before has been soooo naughty.
Re: A Funny Story I remembered.
Haha, that's brilliant, how nice you remebered them, and they live on now
Re: A Funny Story I remembered.
Roberta is some what of a legend and I am sure at the wedding Corrina will tell you all about her and about her grandaughter who she currently has, called Blanche-Roberta.
Roberta died last year and now her ashes lie in a very ornate, rabbit casket in Corrina's front room. Flopsy was buried in a tunnel dug by some of the other rabbits. But unfortunately as Corrina said some of her others decided to have a seance one day and dug him up. Now however he is buried deeper and has been at rest for a while now.
