.. who I decided to let roam free in garden all day whilst I am at work!!!! This is the first time I have let him out.. bit worried but considering he was out for nearly 10 hours last week when I spent the day at my mums, am hoping I got nothing to worry about Rolling Eyes

Please god don't let me have been a bad bunny mum No

I'm sure he will be fine! Smile its so hard isnt it the pressure of always looking after loads of creatures! I have 4 rabs 2 cats 1 gorgeous son and a lovely husband and feel pretty much responsible for all of them! phew! no pressure!

I am sure he will be fine as long as your garden is bunny proof and there are no foxes around. Bet he thinks it is christmas again, having a free range day! I know we have to keep them enclosed for their safety but it is lovely to see a free range bun!

Yes garden is fine, he tends to sleep under the same bush most of the day!

That said, am off in a mo - DH picking DD up from my mums so I am going to go straight home and check on him. Bit worried he might be joining poor little Truffles.

mine, and my very good friend's, are free range all day in rabbit proof gardens. It does bring some problems, no foxes at all in my area and my buns are not in any way afraid of cats (quite the opposite!) but they have escaped a few times. (well my wild rabs have) I think I have all the holes sorted though. If ours were in a run it would have to be too small to be good enough for them so this is how we have worked it out.

Mine are loose everyday in a wire compound. I let them out in the morning and pop them in when it gets dark. We are pretty quiet here, no dogs roaming around and no foxes. They also have their burrow to shoot into if they get a scare.

gosh yes mine have a burrow, a sheltered pond to hide behind, an arbor with a grapvine to hide behind, a hutch complex, various bits of garden furniture... you couldnt see them anyway unless they wanted to be seen!! I actually go out there every 30 mins or so to count them anyway. Embarassed

Its nice being somewhere where people dont think I am mad for looking after my rabbits like this!

I am really pleased for you!!

I said (and I meant it!!) that if I had 3 wishes my FIRST would be for a totally invisible and fool proof barrier around my garden so I never had to worry about anyone getting out or in who I didnt want to!!!! My second 2 wishes would be first for my son then for 3 more wishes! (if anyone wants me to quote a long fantastic poem about wishes let me know!)

Everytime you think that you will never do it again. That is it, you are giving up animals, it is too painful. And everytime, I do it again. I just love them.
