What can I do for Dylan? Empty What can I do for Dylan?

As I've mentioned before, Dylans always had a snuffles/allergy problem going on. Long story short, I've exhausted the vets round here & am going to take her to the specialist bloke who saw Rhia last year, when I can. She was really bad this morning, as she sometimes is - It didn't sound like a 'clean' sneeze. If that makes sense. I just didn't know what to do to help her. Shes outside so I cant even put vapour stuff in boiling water to help her breathing, as I've done before, and I cant fetch her in to do it as shes pretty stressy inside. Can anyone think of anything at all that I could try to help ease her breathing/sneezing? Shes a real brave little thing but shes so fragile, I hate not being able to help her X

Poor brave Dylan Sad

I have a vague notion that using a nebulizer may help but no specifics on it's use. You would need to check this out with the vet. I have read too that offering hay that has been swished round in water and then allowed to dry before feeding may help as dust has been removed. Have you thought about trying the hay from www.dustfreehay.co.uk

Vibes for Dylan and hugs for you xx

You need to be careful if you go down the wet hay route, as the damp provides ample opportunity for mycotoxins to grow which can be quite harmful, so the hay needs to be used quite rapidly after immersion. I believe the idea behind it though is for rabbits with allergy type snuffles, so, the first thing would be a swab, culture & sensitivity analysis so you know exactly what you are dealing with.

It depends how bad she is really. Brian has been snuffly for about 6 months now. We have tried various treatments to no avail. When he went for his myxi booster yesterday the vet said that he seemed really healthy and well and was obviously just going to be a snuffly bun. He is a good eater and drinker and is very perky. Does this sound anything like Dylan?

I have read that certain childrens antihistimine can be used on buns, with vets supervision - might be worth enquiring about Becki?
