New cage Empty New cage

It's taken me 3 days to disassemble and completely revamp the buns old cage/room. That's right folks, the play bunny mansion is no more. Sad

It's sounds stupid and silly, but the cage had been a project for Matt and I and we'd had a lot of fun building it. Every time I walked in the room it made me think about him (and in a good way... when clearly I want to be hating him).

Additionally, it was getting REALLY out of hand to keep clean. Hippo is much messier than Brynn with his droppings, he occasionally urinates in strategic spots along the edge of the cage, and he sheds like crazy. It would take hours to give it a good cleaning and within minuets he'd have it trashed again. Plus, the levels were impossible to clean well. Though they had tons of space they spent all their time in the one smallest level... So, alas, it has been demolished.

They had been living in the small "regular" cage that I first kept Brynn in while B was sick. I couldn't catch her to give her meds in the big cage so they were squished into a way to tiny cage for a bit. You'd think they would therefore be appreciative when I rebuilt the NIC cage so they could have some room. Well... last night they were so disgruntled they stomped around destroying everything they could Rolling Eyes . I fixed it up today, rearranged it a bit, and added 1 small level (we'll call it a loft). They've spent about 20 mins exploring it and they are currently flopped out and cuddling so I think they approve.

Don't worry though. There new cage is still very big and the will continue to spend most of their time free range.

It amazes me that buns get in moods when they are put out about something. No care or thought to the effort you have put in! ha ha ha

Glad hey are happy with their new abode.....

How is brynn feeling now?
