Have found a new vet! Empty Have found a new vet!

Thanks for all the advice yesterday after my vet concerns. This morning I phoned another surgery and managed to talk to a head nurse very knowledgable in bunnies. I asked all the questions that I found on here that sooz put together on finding a rabbit savvy vet and she passed with flying colours Smile

There are also a couple of vets at the surgery that specialise in small animal care, especially rabbits. I registered with them and I now feel much more confident taking Pippin to the vet. It took a while to pluck up the courage to call and ask questions as I'm not too assertive when it comes to things like this but I am so glad I did!

That is good news. You will feel so much better in future when you have to go and if it is an emergency it is so important to trust your vet.

Well done on your tenacity. I used to have a vet who I gradually realised knew less about bunnies than I do and changed and now have a guy who is brilliant. He does his own out of hours work too rather than me having to drive miles to some anonymous vet chain which I used to have to do.

I am sure Pippin will be pleased you have found someone who understands his complicated physiology and how to give proper bunny cuddles. Wink I always think it's a very bad sign if a vet doesn't know how to hold an animal properly.

Well done, I'm glad you've managed to find a vet you feel confident with it really does make a difference.

It took me a long while to find my current vet, but I wouldn't swap for anything she's brilliant. In fact if it wasn't for the fact he sees her very few weeks due to Ruby's ongoing issues, I'm sure Thumper loves her so much he would pretend to be ill just so he could see her !!!!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
