Wish 'em luck!
Well some may remember one of my wee girls, cookie had a problem with a thickend bladder and being very dirty at her bum. 10 days of antibiotics only helped mildly but afterwards was straight back to the beginning. Back to the vets today and she did say there was no thickening of the bladder this time and she is slightly dryer behind but still not right. The vet says its very likely that having her spayed could solve the problem so I agreed, they will also have a look inside while they have her under. Only problem is shes in a group who may not accept her coming back smelling different and feeling unwell (it happened before and they attacked one). SO the plan is that ALL 3 girls in that group are getting spayed on the same day, brought round together and home together back with their one male friend who wouldnt hurt a fly. That way they are all on newspaper etc and dont have to be seperate to recover. Im worried about it as theres always risks but if it helps cookie and calms the hormones of peanut ill be happy. Wish them and my purse luck. Costs a fortune!

Re: Wish 'em luck!
haha about £65 each then I have 2 to do later but a higher chance of having a group of 6 instead of 4 and 2. Isnt that what student loans are for? lol it will have to be right now.
Re: Wish 'em luck!
Getting Does spayed is always a good idea, the health implications of not doing it are harsh I hope it sorts out her problems. I don't know anything about groups or bonds though, but vibes for your 3
Re: Wish 'em luck!
I've just had a group of 6 done, 3 girls and 3 boys and they were all fine, bit of a nightmare trying to see who was weeing and pooing but it worked out fine in the end
Hope yours get on OK, let us know
Why is the one having a problem with a wet bum?

Re: Wish 'em luck!
thanks everyone.
They are not positive whats going on but are confident spaying might help but they want to look inside to see whats happening and it wouldnt be fair to send her in for that and then send her in shortly after for spaying, would be unecessary for two operations.
Cant believe it but last night i went to clean her up and she was DRY for the first time in weeks, talk about timing! Would still like it looked into though. Want it all done before the flies.

Re: Wish 'em luck!
all home yesterday safe and sound, nothing going in internally with cookie so fingers crossed for it being hormonal and settling down. They are ovbiously a bit sore but have had a wee munch on their nuggets and vedge so should all buck up soon.
Dylan had to be left alone all day and ive never seen a rabbit so depressed. He was so glad to see them back and was so well behaved with them he was allowed back for the night. The wounds are very small and neat and not easy to get to for washing so hes just washed their head all night lol Hes always been their pillow and hot water bottle so think they were as happy to see him.
