Vibes for Pebbles please :(
There was an accident this evening at Hetty's, the buns are staying there for 6 days while mum visits me in bournemouth when she drops me back. I dont know why she did it but she freaked out, pelted into the run and got her head stuck in the zooplus run.
She was screaming and Hetty managed to get her out safely, i am amazed she didnt break her neck or have a heart attack, she was well and truly petrified. I went round to see her (as we dont leave until tomorrow) and she was quiet, but she is doing "normal" things, i.e washing etc.
Her eye is bloodshot, just one of them. Felt her jaw nothing seems to be broken, i think she is just very shook up. She hasnt eaten yet, so hopefully she will soon.
I am not going to disrupt her further by taking her to the emergency vets as she was petrified, and i dont want her going into shock, and she will proably benefit just staying in the dark with her friends and hopefully she will have nibbled at something by the morning.
I am worried for her, as she is so dainty and little, but i know Hetty is looking after her, i am so grateful she got her out safely, i dont know if i would have if it was me. I am sure we will know tomorrow she is fine, but poor hetty is quite shook up as Pebbles was stuck and screaming
so any vibes for pebbles would be great, and a hug for my friend Hetty please

Oh I'm sorry, what a horrible thing to happen.
Well done to Hetty for getting her out, I'm sure she's feeling pretty shaken.
Lots of vibes for Pebbles too - I'm sure she'll be fine and will hopefully be back to her normal self soon.
Please keep us updated. x

Sending vibes for them both and for you. Hopefully, she was physically hurt. It probably felt like being caught by a predator and she would go into panic mode. A quiet night and some snuggly company might be enough to settle her down. Fingers crossed she is OK tomorrow. xx

lol nickie - i assume you mean Wasnt?
One of her eyes is very red and bloodshot, but if thats all thats wrong i will be thankful as it could have been SO much worse. Suprised she didnt have a heart attack.

Sorry yes. I did mean 'wasn't hurt'
I haven't been very good tonight! Posted in the wrong section, etc. I am still getting used to my notebook which isn't as easy to type on and I get distracted with other things too and then I write rubbish!
Fingers crossed she is better tomorrow. Try not to worry too much. xx

Re: Vibes for Pebbles please :(
Oh my word. I have that run and wouldn't have thought it possible to get a head through the bars. Hetty must have coped amazingly well to have released her.
I have seen Noo run in a panic and it is awful to behold
Sending loads of vibes that the lovely Pebbles is OK this morning. I would imagine her teeth will need checking over, I so hope she has not damaged anything.
Huge hugs for you SJ and Hetty too.

Re: Vibes for Pebbles please :(
I know she has a little head but i cant see how she did it either, poor thing. I dont think im going to use it again for them, it will worry me too much.
Hetty has been texting me all morning, and pebbles seems fine in herself, nothing looks swollen or anything but she isnt eating. not sure what to make of it yet, as its not like "normal stasis". Hetty thinks she wont eat because of her, but im sure thats not the case.

Re: Vibes for Pebbles please :(
Is her eye swollen as well as bloodshot? I think if she hasn't started to eat today she needs to see a vet as there may be a problem with her eye or another source of pain you haven't been able to identify.
Burst blood vessels in the eye can result from pressure around the neck (asphyxiation) so it could be from where her head was trapped, but if that was the case, she may well have a sore throat and neck too.
Sending lots of eating (((vibes))) Pebbles way.

Re: Vibes for Pebbles please :(
Hello everyone!
I'll tell you exactly what happened.
Guys, it's the worst thing I've EVER witnessed
I was collecting them in from the run, and they were being really difficult to catch, and Pebbles was extremely darty and kept thumping at me. I thought... right, best to get a carrier and see if they'll get in that.. Jelly and Domino got in it, so I closed them up and put them next to the run (didn't want to put them into the hutch just get, put them in all the same time).
Pebbles was really freaking out and kept darting about, so I decided to crawl in and get her. I climbed in at the top and crawled along. She bolted into one side, and then turned and bolted into the other, and got her head stuck
She was kind of hanging from the run, with her legs up against it and trying to get haul herself out. :cry
I started to panic, and tried to manouver her head out gently, but she was panicking even more at me touching her, so I started screaming at my family to come and help me while I crawled out and ran to help her. Pebbles was really screaming quite horrifically and I was kind of screaming with her , it was awful. I managed to pull the section apart (where her head was stuck, but I don't know how I did this, as it was impossible.. must have had an adrenaline rush.) It was awful. I couldn't get her out and was panicking. I thought I was going to lose her there an then
I'm just so thankful that she's not in bad nick. She was really shaken up last night but did manage to gently clean herself and had a little nibble of hay (half heartedly).
I've come back from college and we have a result!
Pebbles will eat some corriander from me and some carrot shaped treats!
She's not eating normally as of yet though.

Re: Vibes for Pebbles please :(
Oh that's just awful
Maybe she was in shock and traumatised? Which would explain the not eating. Get-well vibes to poor pebbles and 'take-a-relaxing-break- vibes for you!
