Vibes for Jelly and Pebbles please
There both in stasis. Wont eat, hunchd up. Jelly is being majorly vicous and is biting and lunging if i so much as touch her, which is actually better than her last stasis ep in November because then she was just floppy and didnt care so its better that shes grumpy. Pebbles, my little sweetheart, is grunting and pretty much squealing if i touch her, she had a very hard tummy.
I offered them both some critcal care on a spoon and both lapped it up so thats good. Both are in their runs and are running about so it doesnt seem TOO serious (as far as stasis can be i guess). If they are still like it later on both will go to the vet.
Normally i take them to the vet as soon as i notice but we had a bad storm here last night, and i know thats whats done it so i know they were scared so im hoping a run in the garden and lots of tasty treats hidden in the run will tempt them.

Re: Vibes for Jelly and Pebbles please
we had a big storm here last night, and it was very loud, there was alot of thunder. I covered them up and put so much hay in their hutches to they were all snuggly but it didnt help. All my boarding bunnies are fine ironically. I would have thought ones that were used to where they were anyway would most likely be in stasis but no its mine!
there out in the run now, Jelly is lying under/in a box. she doesnt look happy at all. But then pebbles is running about like normal.
I have, fibreplex, critical care/science recovery. they will both lap up critical care so i know im not any damage by giving it to them orally because they both want to eat it. But should i give them any fibreplex or leave it and see how they are?

If it were me I would give them the firbreplex as well, just as an added benefit really, keeping fingers and paws crossed here

Re: Vibes for Jelly and Pebbles please
they just took it reallt easily so i dont think i stressed them at all, i didnt even have to hold them to do it, i just crawled in the run. Did some tummy rubs too.
Mums got them some curly kale as its jellys stasis food, its the first thing she will eat so fingers crossed.Im sure she will be okay because i know its the storm, so im 99% sure theres no underlying problem.

Re: Vibes for Jelly and Pebbles please
Methinks our bunnehs conspire against us, sorry to hear this SJ, i'm sure they'll be fine soion, they're obviously in very capable hands
Re: Vibes for Jelly and Pebbles please
im not too worried, if it was one on their own id be concerned but the fact its both the girls i just know it was the storm. jelly has pooed, bcus she has lots of tiny rock like poos in the run, there tiny! so i know its her there the typical 'post stasis poops'.
Pebbles still hasnt and when i touch her she grunts and she never grunts so it might be a trip for pebbles later

Re: Vibes for Jelly and Pebbles please
there good, jelly is absolutely fine, gobbling down all her dinner as quick as she did before.
Pebbles is okay, shes pooped and is eating, shes not eating very quickly shes tenderly nibblind on curly kale and mint. shes had a few pellets too but shes not wolfing them down. But her poops are normal now.
If shes still eating like this tomorrow ill pop her down to the vet as she has a slight spur on her back teeth so it could be her teeth but the vet saw her 2 weeks ago so i doubt its that.
She just binkied around the run so she cant be feeling that bad!

Re: Vibes for Jelly and Pebbles please
You've been so calm about this and knowing that it probably was their reaction to the thunder, must have helped you.
Glad that they seem to be recovering. At least they are eating and pooping so it's a good start.

Re: Vibes for Jelly and Pebbles please
So glad to hear they are on the mend.
Gosh, aren't bunnies fragile, going into stasis with a storm (although it really was a bad one, wasn't it? I thought it would never end!)
