Mine get P@H pellets in the mornng - about quarter teacup between the two, then lots of hay and before bedtime, they get some veg - usually three different kinds.

I don't feed pellets, I feed Chudleys Rabbit Royal mix, I don't think I will change though because I think its a brilliant rabbit mix (as far as rabbit mixes go) It's totally natural as well and is full of dried dandelions and herbs and doesn't have all that rubbish colouring that other mixes have! And, it has benefited Noisette SO much, pellets just made her go into statis! Also with two giant rabbits it works out much more economical when I feed them unlimited mix! Laughing

I don't feed them pellets. There is a brand that is imported into Aus from America - I've gone a complete blank and can't remember it's name - but it is expensive and it is only available when my vet makes a special order in. So i maybe buy a small bag once a year and if they're VERY lucky they'll get it as a treat.

All of the pellets and mixes in australia are very unhealthy for bunnies so mine just get hay and greens.

Pippin has science selective pellets, only a few in the morning. A vet advised me to just give him 5 or 6 in his hay so he can forage (sp?) for them so I'll try that when he's a bit older.

He's only 5 Months old. He was having quite a lot of pellets twice a day bit I reduced them to once a day cos he wasn't eating his hay. Then when I spoke to the vet she said he was having too much and just to give him 5 or 6 (bear in mind they are SS pellets so quite big and long). He still has more pellets than advised but that's cos he is still a baby really. I won't reduce them until he is an adult and then might try mixing with the hay. I'm aiming for a fresh veg and hay only diet eventually. He already has 3 different types of veg a day and 3 different kinds of hay. He gets bored very easily Laughing

Wow that is a well-treated bunster! Mine get one kind of hay at all times, and each day is only one type of vege.

I remembered the name now. It's Oxbow. I try to treat it like treats. And they get excited enough about it for it to be treats!

Mine gets 3-4 SS a a day. Now that summer is around the corner, he won't get any soon, but will be getting lots of wild food like plantain, dandelions and milk thistle, and lots of fresh grass.

In winter I feed him more veg and herbs, mainly green ones, but he does get the odd chunk of carrot once or twice a week, but now his veg intake will reduce too, with just small amounts each day.
I only now feed pellets as a winter supplement when I can't these other foods Smile

rosie was a burgess excell bunny on the junior/dwarf but as she became poorly, she would hardly touch anything, even 1 pellet
then i found she liked fenugreek crunchie treats, soo last week ordered some science selective, which she eats some of (touch wood she continues to like it)

Mine eat Oxbow T - which are timothy hay based pellets. A previous bun had poop problems with both Excel and SS which is how I ended up using the Oxbow.

It is a tad expensive for six buns bit all six look so well I am loath to change Rolling Eyes

Shadow has a handful of P@H pellets but think I will be cutting that down now as he's not eating as much hay.
He has a mixture of greens at night and recently he's been in his run in the garden and nibbling non stop on grass. He's also allowed a couple of dandelion flowers and leaves although yesterday I spied him reaching through the bars for more dandelion heads and pinching the new bramble leaves that are nearby, monkey!

Daisy has Burgess Excel although im thinking of changing these to SS as daisy will only eat some bags and not others.....

he gets a single layer in the bottom of his little bowl twice a day and the rest of the time he has Oxbow Organic Meadow Hay which is the only one he will eat (and ive tried millions). He loves it though. he also gets veggi's but doesnt eat a great deal. He loves parsley & Corriander and has a peice of apple as treats. He doesnt like bunny treats of any kind - which im glad about.
