Walk in Daventry with Gerrard the staffy!
I know I can go on a bit about how much I hate the town I live in, but its walks like these today that make me realise why my parents decided to move here. I live in the outer suburbs, urban-rural fringe, so a lot of the surroundings are very rural and back onto farms and woods! This is directly behind my house which is just sooo convenient when taking Gerrard out, he adores these walks! Charlotte, you might recognise it, your brothers old house faces all of this!
You can see how well Gerrard is doing, he is about 10-11 years old now! He is believed to be a former bait dog in dog fights and was found as a stray... thank God they got rid of him/he ran away. He is spoilt rotten here!
the woods!
get a move on!!
Gerrard in the woods
the canal channel!
Gerrard by the canal!
taking me to the farms!
aand Gerrard again
getting worn out!
after a very hot and long hours walk, naughty Gerrard cooling down under the bed... with the remnants of a box!

Wow, I can't believe he is that old, I thought he was much younger! That said Poppy is 8 now but people often think she is a pup! I always wonder how as I think the grey muzzle is quite prominent!
Where we live now, if you go 10 minutes up the road you end up in the Peak District National Park. We've never been able to appreciate it before without the car so now we love taking Poppy up there on a hot day. Hoping to go up there tomorrow with her.
