Gerrard, the biggest softie EVER.

Hi guys, just thought i would share these photos with you, of my favourite canine friend, Gerrard the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. He is the BIGGEST softy in the entire world, and he is just full of beans. Technically, he is my brothers dog, but i have to admit, he is spoilt rotten by me .
He was terribly neglected before my brother rescued him from dogs trust. He was about 8kgs underweight, you could see every rib on him. The vet has confirmed that his teeth were filed as a young dog, so it could suggest he was a fighting dog, or a bait dog back in the time. I don't know what sick person would do that, he is the most gentle and loving dog.. thank God he ran away (he was found as a stray). He has been living here on and off, for about 5 years (depends when my brothers working or not) and he has been here for the past 10 months now. He must be coming up to 9 years old now, but he is doing so well for his age, he is so energetic and gets so exited when he meets new people he can't control it .
The poor lad was recently attacked by a black lab when he was on a walk. Gerrard was on the lead, and the black lab was running free. He took the bite, he didn't even retaliate. He went under GA and got stitched up, but it abcessed and he got a fever. he had to have it drained, and was on about 5 different drugs, and eventually it all healed up.
I just wuv him so much, including his stupid panda markings, he is indeed an 'eyeliner dog'

God love'im, he's gorgeous and he must be such a happy wee man

Awwwwwwwww it's Gerrard, he is gorgeous , I love him to bits, he is such a 'soft' dog and just wants attention, I was amazed when Janak told me how old he was, I thought he was a very young dog because he has so much energy.

thanks so much guys! Theo, I posted these pics especially for you, becuase I know how much you love him . Its sad to think that when my brother gets his life in gear and finds himself a job, he will be moving out of here and taking Gerrard with him .

he is so spoilt here... I was being really loud this afternoon, and my mum shouted at me and told me to shut up becuase Gerrard was sleeping
