Re: This is Dylan, and I just dont know what to do?
I hate to tell you this but I have 2 bunnies who are just like that, Andy and his Mum Enzo, Andy is the worst, he had been backwards and fowards to the vet all his life and we hav etried every medication on the market and nothing seemed to work and then I took him to see the fantastic specialist John Chitty who diagnosed Frontal Sinusitis, he operated on him by drilling his nose and relieving all the pressure and gunk, he was amazing after that, trouble is it has built up again now and so he needs to go back again
Good luck with Dylan, what medications has he had?

John Chitty is in Hampshire and he is amazing, I would travel all day to get to him if I needed to, obviously so long as the bunny could stand the travelling, but he certainly gave a diagnosis within one visit with Andy and Enzo and we had been backwards and forwards to the vet trying everything and nothing worked, I would defianately consider it, I am sure there is a link on here to John, I'll go have a look and come back in a bit

I don't have any advice just wanted to say - she is gorgeous Becki xxx
Re: This is Dylan, and I just dont know what to do?
Also - just to say that if you chat to Mr C about why you are coming in advance he can sometimes see the bun and do the treatment in the same day so you dont have to do a return visit.
We had gone to and from the vets 100 times with daisy and got no diagnosis.......Mr C diagnosed daisy within half an hour.
Hope dylan is okay.x x

Can you get to Frances Harcourt-Brown at Harrogate?
Or Matt Brash's practice at York - Battleflats I think.
I went to the RWF conference last Saturday - it was suggested that to get the most effective antibiotic to treat chronic nasal problems a sample needs to be taken from the nasal cavities and a culture grown. This is best taken by a nasal flush - not a swab.
I hope you can find some help for Dylan - she is so beautiful xx

Re: This is Dylan, and I just dont know what to do?
My bunny George had the same problem. At first the vet said it was the dust in the hay but when we made sure it was dust free he still sneezed. We took him back and the vet said he had snuffles. It was like a cold for bunnies and when they get a bit stressed it gets worse and are more suseptable to it. He was on medicen mixed with ribina for a week and he was fine =] I would go to the vets and ask about snuffles if your hay is dust free which it probably is already =]
