Cat Pepper
Nextdoor's cat is pooping in my garden and I am really fed up with it. I caught her in the act tonight and scared her off but she didn't look very scared. So I want to put down some of that stuff that keeps cats off you herbacious borders (don't know what they are but they sound amazing)... however will it harm the bunnies?

Re: Cat Pepper
Tried pepper, tried horrid spray and awful blue gel stuff (that I wouldnt let daisy near in a million). Tried Cat Scarers (the cat buried one of them and then poo'd on it)......
In the end we resorted to willow trellis round the top of our fencing which kinda worked. We also found that citrus peelings were good......they didnt stop them coming in but they didnt mess the place where the peelings were.
Good luck hun!

Re: Cat Pepper
If I put citrus peelings down, if the buns nibbled it (I don't think they would) what would happen? I have caught her twice today pooping. Am fuming... I scared her off and in doing so she poo'd right across the yard. ARGH! So then I had to clear all that up and so on so the buns didn't run through it. Am so mad.
Re: Cat Pepper
I dont know what the citrus might do to the buns hun sorry. When we did it daisy was refusing to go out anyway because the demon cats from next door so we didnt have to worry.
The hose on full pelt seemed to help too. . . . . . .

Re: Cat Pepper
Fabulous mental picture of a cat getting hit full pelt by a hose pipe.
Splat straight up against the fence with its legs spreadeagled. What a wonderful image. He he

Re: Cat Pepper
Funnily enough Rachel, no... I am a bit annoyed really. Fifi is a lovely cat and her owner goes away for weeks at a time, leaves me notes and a key asking me to feed her and doesn't even check to see if it is ok. I feel sorry for Fifi and that is why I don't wanna scare her off but I do want to make sure that she stops pooing in my garden. It is sick.
Re: Cat Pepper
We have this
but I couldn't find out if it's available in UK, you could look for it.
It's just wooden sticks with an impregnated disc on top that smells awful.
There is an indoor and outdoor version

I read that this really works.....I even rang my local zoo about getting hold of some (or tiger poo) but they said as it was a by-product of meat they had to dispose of it. . . . she said they get asked for it a lot!
