Nia is limping. U/D Been to the vets.
Little Nia doesn't want to put one of her hind legs down on the floor when hopping tho she will sit and telescope on it. She has also been washing the top of her foot.
All the claws are intact and there is no obvious trauma to the underside and she did not show any sign of discomfort when we examined it. We discovered it late last night and gave her some Metacam. She is more mobile on it this morning but it is obviously not right, the foot looks a little swollen maybe. I can only think she has caught it going down from the hutch to the run.
I am dithering whether to take her to the emergency vet or leave her until tomorrow - she is still eating with gusto and doesn't look unhappy in herself.
Any ideas/advice?

It dosn't sound like a break as they usually wont use it at all but it may be a sprain or even a sting if it appears swollen. I think you will be safe waiting until normal surgery hours, it may even improve with time and rest.
Try to stop her doing any strenuous excercise in the meantime though, just incase.

If she will allow you to hold a cold compress to her foot it wil help reduce any swelling.
Hope her foot is better soon

Thank you.
Louise (who has better eyesight than me) has had a good look at the bottom of her foot and can't find anything untoward and we certainly can't find any point of tenderness on the leg. We will give her some Metacam again tonight and review things in the morning.
We will let her out on the grass later but separate from Gabe as he does like to play chase with her. She was out on the grass on Friday when the heavens opened and this completely spooked her. She ran around in a panic so I wonder if she hurt herself then Poor little duck - she is such a sweetie.

So poor little Nia has broken a bone in her foot. The vet thinks this could have happened when she ran in panic or I guess she could have caught it on the ramp.
He has said it will heal within 6 to 8 weeks and all we can do in the meantime is Metacam her and keep her quiet.
Thankfully she is still eating well and doesn't seem at all distressed. But I am off now on a guilt trip.

poor little Nia..hope it heals well
Don't blame yourself though Vanessa..you checked her as thoroughly as you could and gave her pain relief..and as vet said there isn't any more you can do.
vibes to Nia xx
