Dougal

Sadly Dougal had to be helped to the Bridge today, the pm results ahowed that he had cancer of the liver and lungs and had a tumour the size of a tangerine in his armpit which appeared just recently and grew rapidly, we knew this morning that time was short when he didn't want to come out of his crate and seemed very, very tired, we are so sad

Dougal came in with his partner Puff nearly 3 years ago, both Puff and Dougal had spent their entire lives living in a 3 foot tris together and got half an hours exercise a day if they were lucky, both bunnies were terribly matted and suffered fur mites and muscle wastage, Puff was already suffering from cancer and was only with us for around three months, Dougal then partnered up with Dolly and they spent all their time together grooming and snuggling, Dolly passed away also with cancer in July last year, they had spent nearly 2 years together, just this last week he had been spending time with Candice and yesterday they snuggled up together.

Dougal, we loved you so much, you were such a character, such a gentle, happy little boy, we know you enjoyed your time here running around the garden and binkying like you had never been able to do before, you loved your noserubs and cuddles, binky free at the bridge sweetheart, have fun when you get there, go and look for Puff and Dolly and give them a kiss from us, sleep tight beautiful boy xxxx

Sorry to hear about Dougal's passing, but glad that he was in your care so that when the time came, you would do the right thing straight away. He was a lucky boy at the end and I am sure that he enjoyed living the twilight of his life with such love and comfort. xx
