Thank Ya'all for all the support you guys have given me. Today, I brought my beloved bunny home(: He's grown soo much over just 3 days, its amazing. He's also developed more of a "lionhead" mane. His ears are a little weird at the top, they kind of hang down a little bit, and it looks "bent". But I'm not very worried. Before leaving, I also saw another little bunny lying in a cage, he was abandoned by his owners because of his bad leg, but luckily, the caring vets preformed surgery on him and removed his leg. He seems to be healing nicely. That just reminds me of the thousands of baby rabbits that have been abandoned, and that are still being abandoned this year. Since this year is the "Lunar Year of the Rabbit", many people have bought rabbits as gifts for relatives etc. not knowing the proper care for them, so many are abandoned.

Anyways, I will be leaving for HongKong tomorow, and I won't be on this forum for a week or so. I'll miss you guys!

Thankyouuu(: Unfortunately, Louis has developed little sores all over his body and he has a swollen eye, and after a vet checkup, it was confirmed that he was some kind of skin disease. They prescribed me this special foamy spray thing to spray the sores with twice a day, and apply to the eyelids with Qtips. They also gave me 3 sticks of some sort of liquid to apply to the back of his neck every week. The vets said that the sores will go away in 1 1/2-2 months. Please send caring vibes for Louis. (:

Thankyou all for your care and support(:

He is getting better and better, you can tell that it is fading(: Today, my moms church friend told us that she can't take care of her rabbit anymore, and we might be a possible home! I'm really excited that we might get a second rabbit. Its a french angora I think, and it is show quality. She had it shipped all the way to China from Europe for her. She has a cage, so the rabbits willl be kept seperate until Louis makes a full recovery, then they will be slowly introduced. Are angoras any harder to care for?

How lovely Duncan, an Angora. I am not sure if they are harder to care for but need brushing every day. I will leave the advice to those who have had one.

Good for you.

Glad to hear Lou's is improving that's great news Very Happy

Angora rabbit's are beautiful but they need a lot of grooming to keep their coat's free from matting as they are a long-haired rabbit, maybe this website will tell you more about the Angora rabbit Very Happy

Hi Duncan,

Im glad to hear you will be getting Louis a friend.

You will be doing the right thing keeping them separated as Louis may be infectious.

It is also important to know that they really shouldnt be put together until they are neutered. Not only will baby bunnies quickly follow but it can be quite difficult to bond bunnies together that have not been neutered as they are very territorial and can seriously hurt each other fighting.

It can be quite a tricky process to bond two bunnies together and needs lots of patience as it needs to be done in baby steps.

We can all help you with that here though and take you through it until before you know it they will be all loved up and happy together.

Good luck and let us know how you get on. x x

Apologies for the very late response, I am soo sorry, I have just been soo busy with school and stuff lately, Ive barely got any time after I'm done with school and my pets. Unfortunately, I will not be getting the angora rabbit due to Louiss current situation. After she healed from pneumonia, she developed a skin disease which we are still treating. She has almost recovered now, but she has now developed a infection of her "private parts". I have all the info Care section.

So sorry to hear about Louis she certainly is going through it Bless her and so are you what with looking after her and your school work, but you seem to be looking after her really well and I think not getting the Angora is a good idea as things are with Louis at the moment with her skin problem.

Topping up the vibes for Louis xxxx

Katie B: Thank you for understanding, it makes me feel much better. I always feel so bad when I've got a question, I get responses so fast, but I often don't contribute to this community enough. I've been on some forums where people have so much free time, if you don't post for two days or something people start assuming that you've died. -.-

Jo: Thanks for all your care, That is so true! I often feel like I need just one more hour to get things done, and if I just had one more hour more of sleep it would be perfect.

Tuckerbunnies: Since we live in an apartment, an angora rabbit would really be a lot to take care of, since we have the limited space and since angoras get so large, it would be best to wait until Louis has completely healed. Another thing is, I don't yet have a lot of toys or other extensions that bunnies like yet. I am planning to get a large pen as an addition to the cage when Louis gets a bit larger, and maybe after then we can get a smaller breed like a lop or a nethie to bond Louis with. Thank you for taking time to care.

GhostHorse: Canadians are awesumm! I'm glad that there are lots of other people too on this forum that have experienced loss and can help me deal with it. I pray every night that my rabbit will get better, I really do hope that God answers my prayers. Also, welcome to the forum too(;
