Becki, I agree with Katie, call the vets tell them what you have given Rhia and discuss what Rhia should have....

Im not sure of the difference between dog and cat metacam but really the vet should give you the appropriate syringe to use.

I know you didnt dawn, I just wanted to make sure if we had anyone else reading the posts they wouldnt go switching their buns meds around.

God these buns are a worry!

She weighs 3.15 kg, she was 3.22 last week though so is losing it. My vet did say she was on a high amount but this is a ridiculously high amount. I rang last night & said i had concerns about the dose but woman on the phone said its fine. Going to go & get some zantac after work & lower the dose to maybe 2mls a day, and go from here. I need to breathe!!!

Going on my vets advice it would be 5X3KG's so if a 0.1ml was a kg dose it would be 1.5ml twice daily.

I dont know if a Kg dose is the same as a ml dose though.

Hi Fudge is on metacam because of his bladder stones he gets .4ml one a day with the option of an extra dose when showing signs of pain...fudge weighs 2.2kg...he is on the Cat one...

Thanks folks. I lowered the dose last night but her ears bugging her this morning and she didn't want me touching her so I'll be guided by her & up it again. I have managed (After about fifteen phonecalls last night between various vets!) to get some Zantac on the way. But its coming in the post & its Bank hol. X
