bluebell nose nudges my hand everytime i offer it near her and lowers her head so i give her a stroke on her head tonight she did the same so i thought this is good this time she thumped me
but then she let me stroke her

no when i said thump i mean picked up both front paws and hit me gently but hit none the less

it could have just been that there was something different from normal, a smell or draft or something. Bruce usually thumps if something is awry, unless I have just put him down then it is definitely a statement about being picked up.

Oh you mean boxing. Flo normally boxes me if i am in the way, although she is not gentle.

when i adopted her from pah they said she was fiesty and they have some scars and most didn't like to handle her but she's very gentle with me and only very occasionaly will gently box me

hahaha Twink used to do this but it wasnt in a nice way, she would let you know if it was a 'get outta my way thump x

It's good that she is lowering her head for scratches, but in the grand scheme of things it is still early days with her too. There may have been something on this occasion that didn't feel right bless her. Although I sometimes get boxed by the boy if he feels the service is below par!

As for pah - what do they know?

Sometimes they can give you a 'come on and stroke me' thump as they can be quite demanding for affection at times

thanks its maybe because she is still pretty unsure of things and maybe for a while yet but at least she is getting more settled

Nudges are very cute indeed. Flo right up to my face when I was laid out on the floor last night. I am not allowed to touch her at all so I was hugely privileged when nudged me nose to nose. I am always slightly worried though - I am never sure that she isn't going to box my face!

ahh thats sweet i think they can tell if your nervouse too when daisy came and kissed my arm i tried to stroke her as a thank you but she moved off quickly
