Bunny proofing garden? Empty Bunny proofing garden?

Post by molly35 Wed Nov 09, 2011 2:40 pm

So my OH spent 2 days putting mesh all around the garden and digging trenches to lower the mesh into it. And today the usual suspect dug her way under it and I've spent last half hour trying to catch her and her partner in crime. Any other ideas how to bunny proof it? I dont want to deprive the others of exercise time but I cant watch them every second though I am always around when they are out. Do I keep her in, put her in a run? Or maybe paving stones around the perimeter where fence can be accessed?

In my garden I have borders all around the edges and I have simply covered the borders with mesh so they can't dig in them and then out of the garden. You can plant through it or grass can grow through it. I stapled it to the fence then use the longish ground pegs to hold it down to the ground. It works a treat.

We had chicken wire embedded round the bottom of the fences but it was embedded pretty deep.
