Vibes for Treacle please

Treacle, my very sweet black piggy is not well this morning. I noticed she was holding herself strangely and on closer inspection she is not using her left back leg properly and she is swollen up her left side. Soft swelling not hard bloated swelling. She does not appear to be in pain. So it's off to the vets shortly. I am worried it might be something more serious than having fallen of the hutch ramp.

Poor treacle! I hope it's nothing serious and the vet can fix it quick.

How is little Treacle doing?

She is ok. It looks like she has sprained her leg and looked swollen because of the way she was holding herself. The vet plonked her on the floor to watch her gait then said 'oh she's too scared to move' to which I had to point out she is pretty much blind and she has no references in that room so was unlikely to move. I can only assume she has fallen off her ramp in the hutch. Clarabel has done this before and hurt herself but I had previously resisted changing the hutch because Treacle knows her way around it. But now I think it is time for a change. So she's had some metacam and I've put in a snugglesafe tonight.

I've checked her this morning and she is still a little limpy but is much better. I have ordered them one of the rabbit hutch shops 6ftx2ft5 hutches to prevent any further injury. They are a bargain at the moment - £130 and they seem much better built and designed than the PAH Orchard manor that I was considering for them.

So far so good, I hope she makes a complete recovery, love her.
