Hope that you keep it up Sparky and don't get mardy again.

Ask you humum where she got your set up from. I think Sasha would love something like that!

That sounds suspiciously like Sasha might be staying in more permanently.

They're 'Wire Mesh Storage Cubes' from B&Q, but they are bloomin' hard to get hold of, apparently. They don't even show them on their website any more, but every now and then she stumbles across a box, normally in the Preston branch. She popped in this morning and they happened to have two boxes on the shelf, so she bought them both Very Happy

They're £22.98 a box (27 panels and the connectors) in B&Q; you can get them on Amazon and eBay but they're usually about £40-ish on there.

She'll sort out the part number in a minute, in case you wanted to look into getting some Thumbs Up

I've gone a bit skitty, so Hudad climbed into the pen to lay with us for a while. He's now fast asleep Laughing

Tell your humum to buy you some chamomile Sparky. Dried or fresh it always calms flo a bit. She also chills out when sunning herself under the lavender bushes in the summer.

The only identifier she can find is the barcode: 0523 2581 and on the box it says 'Matt black wire mesh cube'.
They still don't show on the website, but your local store might be able to track some down somewhere in the country if they don't have them Thumbs Up

Thanks for that. I am still really undecided as to what to do.

My ex has offered to help build a secure aviary type pen, but I don't really want a massive stalag structure in the garden. Their current run is 20 x 12 so that is a lot of area to cover!

I was thinking about maybe having a big indoor set up and a big outdoors run that they could go out in during the day when I am at work and then come indoors when I get home.

I have seen a boy rabbit that I would like to get for company for Sasha. He's another agouti and is neutered already so that would be great.

I think that if you are going to have them outside for any time when you are not around and you know you have a predator issue then you have to make it predator proof. So you need to wire the ground as well as the sides and top of the run. Once built you can camouflage the run a bit using rambling roses and planting around the outside to soften the look of it.

It is good news that you have spotted a husbun for Sasha though - pics?! Laughing

Love

I don't get people who don't want agoutis. Whilst I love Bruce and he is very handsome and cute and funny he doesn't make me stop and stare because he is so pretty in the way Flo does. Apart from when she is huddled up looking grumpy just about everything she does looks elegant and beautiful. The honey coloured markings behind the ears, under the chin and around the eyes, the fluffy white bellies, the lack points to ears. Why can't everyone see how beautiful these bunnies are?

Oh, isn't he lovely, and he does not look happy in rescue Sad

Is there anywhere you could put a hole in a door or window, into a secure enclosure outdoors and have a bit of an enclosure indoors too? Then they could come and go as they please, and you could let them free-range when you are home...

ETA - or you could just get them a key cut Laughing
