Vibes for Sasha

Yesterday morning, Sasha was out loose in the sitting room while I got their trays changed. Barley was locked in his pen - or so I thought! He managed to bust out and he and Sasha had a huge fight which resulted in clumps of fur everywhere. I came in, separated them - without getting bitten - and put her away in her pen while I caught him.

Checked them both over but nobun was hurt - or so I thought. Turns out that Sasha got a scratch right down the middle of her eyelids. She instinctively closed her eye so the claw just caught the edges of her eyelid. She has been to the vet and they have checked her eye to make sure her eyeball wasn't touched and thankfully she is fine. She is eating and pooping OK although was a little stressed in the vets as there was a really bouncy boxer dog in there. I have cream to put onto her eye just to make sure there is no infection, but the vet reckons she will be fine.

I am taking them both - in separate boxes to the vet next week as it is Rabbit Awareness Week at my practice so she will get it looked at then. (I'll also get their claws cut!)

Funnily enough, she would say the same thing, but I reckon Fuciderm is much better!

It doesn't seem to be annoying her. The edges of her eyelid are nicked but her eyelid edges aren't reddened or swollen. I think it will heal fine, although she might not be quite so beautiful. She went for him though so they are as bad as each other!

Poor little loves, I hope Sasha's little eye is better soon. They can be really mean to each other can;t they?

Her eye is looking a lot better now and she is just her normal norty self so thankfully, no lasting harm done.

Poor little Sasha! Healing vibes are on their way! That must
have been frightening for you!

It is a really good sign if they start to be naughty isn't it love? They also have some catching up to do LOL!!
