BLUEBELL/UPDATE monday 7

took her in at 8.30 this morning and they listened to her tum and there is some movement and checked her teeth and they look ok just very slightly cambered but they noticed she has an ulcer that has bled on one side of tongue so she is being sedated and having dentals done.
they said she is flatish faced and can be prone to dentals and very sensitive to her teeth but she has done really well to have gone a year without needing them done and to change pellets and give her less of them to help with the sticky bottom but I have already ordered science selective nuggies for her last night so waiting for them to be delivered.
she is well hydrated too so I think I managed to take good care of her while she was ill.
I hope she will be ok I loves my babies

I just phoned the vet and all went well and she is doing fine in recovery and I can pick her up at around 6.pm today

I am so glad she is OK hun, we are all the same here. If any bunny is having treatment at the vets, we are all stressed and worried and can think of nothing else. Please let us know how she is.

I'm so glad to hear she made it through the surgery well and is recovering - I bet you can't wait to have her home now

I'm glad the dental went smoothly and hope she does not ignore you for too long

We really rate the SS pellets - you can tell the buns are a lot healthier on them and apparently they are better for the teeth due to the shape. How much do you give her in pellets now? They key is probably to be really stingy with them and get her eating plenty of hay.

That it god news Rob. Those damned teeth cause so many problems.
