Vibes for lexy please? update sunday

Our hammy lexy is squeaking again this probably means her uterine infection is back. The vet warned us this might happen. It's difficult to treat, apart from by hysterectomy, and as a fairly elderly hamster they aren't going to do that.

We're taking her to the vet this evening, hopefully antibiotics will help again. She certainly enjoyed them last time, we mixed them with grape juice, and she loved it!

Aww I hope the vet trip goes/went ok

We're back. The vet wasn't really able to do a proper examination as lexy attempted kamikaze hamster again.

She's given more abx, although she's not 100% sure there's anything wrong since the only symptom is the squeaking. However, since the squeaking seemed to stop after abx last time it seems logical to do the same again.

So lexy gets her grape juice again, which will make her happy!

Hope Lexy is feeling a bit brighter today and enjoying her grape juice

She's made herself pretty scarce since we got back, although when we first put her back in her cage she frantically ran around her cage with her bedding in her mouth, poor love! Hopefully we'll see her tonight.

Lexy still needs all the vibes she can get please everyone. She's taking her meds like a good girl, but she's still very distressed, squeaking almost the entire time she's awake I got her put and held her last night and it calmed the squeaking a little, but she was still doing it and is obviously not well. I hope she's not in a lot of pain.

Thank you. When I held her last night she didn't even scurry between my hands, she just stayed curled in my cupped hands. Not herself at all.
