Grouping Rabbits
I currently have 3 rabbits, 2 sisers and their brother who lives alone. The girl's have both been neutered and the boy is going to be neutered. I plan to introduce them together once all the rabbits have been neutered. I am wondering if it would be best to get a fourth, not related, rabbit and introduce it to the boy before putting all of them together. I would like to know if 3 or 4 would be better and if 4 whether a girl or a boy would be better. If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it thanks.

Re: Grouping Rabbits
I don't have any experience of bonding love but I would just concentrate on bonding the boy with the girls, a fourth bunny might create more problems. I don't know if this is god advice, someone else on here will be able to tell you but that is my immediate reaction. Please keep us posted.

Re: Grouping Rabbits
Hello and welcome
I've never done it myself but I have read enough to make me want to encourage you to concentrate on bonding the 3. Trying to bond 2 singles to a pair would (generally) be a nightmare.
You mention that they are siblings. Are they still familiar with each other or have they been completely separated?
I would get the male neutered, wait 6 weeks to allow hormones to settle and then introduce him to the 2 female on neutral territory. Don't introduce them in the girls' territory. Your girls already being spayed is a great start
And you might not have too many problems if they're familiar with each other already!
If it doesn't work out you could always get him a neutered girlfriend of his own

Re: Grouping Rabbits
The girl's are still together but they can still see their brother. They were seperated for about 2 months and appear to be fine next to each other. They are quite familiar with each other already so putting the three together might just be better.

Re: Grouping Rabbits
It should be easier love if they know each other. I did something similar with guinea pigs and it worked well. Please do keep us updated.

Re: Grouping Rabbits
For one awful second as I read the title of this I thought it said GROPING rabbits!
Felt silly when I read it again.
It's worth a try to get the three together again... I had a lovely mum, daughter and new buck threesome.
