hi peeps

I don't know what it is with Thumper, but he does seem to go from fine to not well so quickly. He was fine this morning, but we found him this afternoon covered in urine and feeling a bit sorry for himself. He's had a bath (which he didn't like) and on vetinary advice he's had some metacam and some dandelion. I've got an appointment for him in the morning with Paula so we can get him checked out fully. He's eating & pooing at the moment but I'm keeping a close eye on him. Some vibes would be a great help too if you don't mind.

Hope Thumper is well again soon. Have his previous illnesses also been related to urinary incontinence? I seem to recall he had a bout of stasis not so long ago.

Thumper went and saw Paula this morning, he has a UTI so is on injectable baytril and metacam. His tummy isn't as full as it should be so we are syringing him as well. She also checked his teeth, and in the three weeks since his stasis the back teeth have minor spurs again. They have been taken down again, although Paula didn't think they were bad enough to be causing any problems.

I think Thumper has a thing for his aunty Paula and this is his way of making sure he sees her regularly!! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Not long after we had him he had EC, with head tilt, and we thought we would loose him. It's a long story but he didn't get the 6 week panacur treatment until early last year, and he now gets a regular top up too. He does have eye problems as a result of the EC so it is in his history.

Good memory, yep, he had stasis about three weeks ago which took about a week to recover from, but he has never had any kidney/urinary problems before.
