By the time we got in he was limp and just laying down shifting his weight from side to side when I touched him, completely ignoring me his ears weren't even moving when I was calling his name

He was in the hutch above her, but they alternated the garden run and being in the house during the day so haven't free ranged close to each other for a while now. My first thought was that he knew she wasn't there today but I think its more than that now

He was eating right up until I took him in, and pooping but smaller than usual but then he hasn't eaten his hay or pellets as usual today. They have kept him in to put him on fluids I think she said, I didn't see the vet I was booked in with. And my vet is on holiday. I have asked them to phone him and she said she will call me once she has spoken to him

Buu's post mortem results are they don't know how she died. I am unsure if they are going to do anything to try and find out or not because the vet I was supposed to be seeing was going to go through it with me and she just said did nobody phone you, nobody phoned to tell me. She is going to have somebody phone me tomorrow

Trip and Scarlett seem fine at the moment

I don't know if I should bring Trip and Scarlett in or leave them outside Buu and Beau have been all over the house up until yesterday, and Beau was in all day tomorrow. But then they are right next to Buu and Beau's hutch outside. I am so confused I don't know what to do for the best

I'm so sorry Becky, I really hope Beau is going to pull through for you. My first thoughts were also pining but given they didn't co-habit and the symptoms you have described it is obviously more than that.

I am assuming that Buu's PM was based on an actual internal investigation given the speed of the initial results but did they take any bloods for analysis as well...

I honestly don't know. They seemed to have a bit of a situation tonight and it was a nurse I saw, she was annoyed that nobody had phoned me to tell me what had happened and went to find out but when she came back she said the lady who did the PM was busy with another animal and couldn't stop to explain properly. The vet did say last night something about taking samples if it wasn't obvious what was wrong but when I said this to the girl I saw today she wasn't sure. I can't remember exactly what the vet said though because I was in such a state last night. She didn't seem that confident with suggesting things or knowing what was happening about the PM, but promised to call my vet and then let me know what he thinks. I think I am going to ask can they get him to call me, I feel awful he is on holiday but I don't know who else I can talk to

I will call first thing tomorrow

Trip and Scarlett still seem fine, Beau was about the same distance from Buu as they are because the hutches are right next

I have everything crossed for you hunny. I know you are going through hell right now. I am really thinking of you and sending positive, healing vibes x

The vet has just phoned me and said he has renal failure and something about his kidneys. they are keeping him on the fluid thing and my vet is going in to see tomorrow and will phone me. I feel so sick. They did lots of tests and he just read the results over the phone to me

He said it could be that they are completely unrelated and just bad timing but wants me to bring in Trip and Scarlett for a check up as they still haven't established what happened with Buu He said its really not looking that good

Oh Becky I am so sorry, I was praying for better news, will keep praying that they can do something for Beau, sending you hugs

He is eating, and has been pooping since he got there which is a good sign. Only small poops but still the vet said its better than none

It's good that he is eating and pooping and no renal failure is not good but try and stay positive Becky, we are all praying for Beau, try and get some sleep if you can otherwise you will make yourself ill,
