Nettle has escaped again - UPDATE PG 3 = He's home!

On Saturday afternoon Barney and Nettle dug out of their run. I found Barney in his favorite barn covered with cobwebs. Nettle is still missing. I go out every night with my massive million candle watt torch but nothing so far. When it happened a year or so ago (when they chewed through mesh) he came back after 4 days and was trying to get back in the run with Barney so fingers crossed something like that will happen again.

Oh no not again, crikey, he does have an adverturous spirit. I hope he comes back soon Rachel, what a worry

Thanks guys - still nothing. All food untouched and no sightings. I even got up at 1am to do a search and not a sign of a rabbit anywhere.

no still nothing - walked up the lane and around the farm yesterday. thing is he is so small and jut sits silently hiding that it is virtually impossible. Will be a week tomorrow. Barney is really sad and lonely.

He's home! He's been living in my landlady's garden up the road. Been eating her carrots and apples and living in the wood pile. They thought it must be a sick wild rabbit as he is so tame. I went up there to lend them a hutch for male accidental baby guinea pigs and mentioned had lost him and they said oh he is here and we walked round the corner and there he was. I got Barney on his harness and they had a lovely reunion with lots of kisses and then I brought them both home! Happy Ending! Thank you for all your kind words and thoughts.

I am so thrilled he is back! What a devil he is. Cut his paws off, that will stop him diggin. I bet that reunion was something to behold! What a relief. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

yes, loads of kissing and head cleaning going on. And Nettle is going round chinning everything as he obviously has a week's worth of scent marking to catch up on!!
