Dylans ear dying off?? Empty Dylans ear dying off??

Post by Becki Fri Jan 01, 2010 9:49 am

Dylan had a major ear injury back in the summer, and almost lost part of her ear. Although it was sewn back together its still quite jagged & Ive noticed this morning that the tip of her ear feels dead, Its just frozen solid & very hard. Its very, very cold here today - but is this something to be concerned about? Ie does she need to see a vet now? Hmmm

I'm sorry I have no idea -maybe going to a vet would at least ease your mind, but I should think if it was dying off it would be turning black, and i don't think there would be anything a vet could do Hmmm

Vibes for dylan Love

I agree.

Do you think you could call the vet and ask them over the phone?

Sending vibes your way!

Is the majority of this part of the ear scar tissue....and does it feel cold compared to the other ear or the rest of the same ear, as this will give you some indication of whether it may be related to circulation.

Thanks folks. Shes absolutely fine in herself, and even the ear seems OK now. It seems to thaw out a bit then go back to being 'dead'. Very Odd, I need to make her an appointment at the vets anyway so will ask then Thumbs Up

if it is circulation related maybe just rubbing it gently each say may help. Let us know what your vet says Love
