New sheds complete!
I am beyond tired!! They were delivered at 8 this morning and built in less than 2 hours so I had to get straight in there and lino it I was soo excited. We expected to get half of them moved in there today and buy bits n bobs for the other half but, everythings in, all rabbits moved in, all my stuffs out the other shed, all the old hutches are emptied and ready for sale (2 story 5x2's) and the garden is gutted so I type here with one finger and one eye open!
I have no power yet till summer so bought myself a good torch. Heres the pics, they better enjoy it.
Just built
inside one, taffie, zack and saphie are in for neutering on monday so the plan is to bond a group of four as nougat is neutered already, till the hormones calm down the smaller 2 are seperated in a run with a small hutch for bed, litter tray and hanging toys with appletree logs. The bigger 2 have the remaining space with the same and jeff in his old hutch but he might end up living with them too.
The group of 4 have the full 7.5x6 floor space with loads of logs and a 4x2 hutch for sleeping, also with hanging toys.
The guinea girls are in the left just now and mr chips in a temporary cage as he also will have no plums from monday and then after 6 weeks the girls and him will get a bigger cage together.
Im so pleased with them and all that I got done today and my mum can get her shed back for storage before she started charging livery per rabbit lol

Re: New sheds complete!
Wow!! That looks fab!! I am envious
May I suggest though that you add some carpet tiles or something to the lino as lino is very slippery when buns try and run on it
A lovely set up

Re: New sheds complete!
I chose a failry textured one so its not that slippy but newspapers are going down because they are so messy. 3 of the girls are in for neutering today so once they start to toilet train better and not pee everywhere then carpet tiles might be an idea. I hate them being in the vets but its the last 3 and then in a couple of weeks I want to bond the 4 girls. I havnt had many problems with girls to be honest so then they have the whole shed like the other 4. Its nice going out to a shed with no cobwebs and damp!
Re: New sheds complete!
Fantastic that floor does look like laminate though, even if it's textured, it can can leg and spinal probs., but if you grab some rugs from charity shops or similar, or carpet tiles as already suggested, that will help. So please it's all arrived ok, the buns must be loving it
Re: New sheds complete!
I will sort something out at the minute they have spread all their hay and food over it so you hardly see the lino lol. I am just cooking a pizza then going out to see if I can use the puppy pen to split the shed more evenly. I will see what I can do about the floor at the same time but dont worry I know about the problems a slippy floor can cause, they can dart about on it without an issue but I will still sort something. The wee girl zack (thought boy) had extremely bad hips as a baby and has hip displacia now so she has hay on the floor. Newspapers will maybe have to do this week due to wounds anyway, its easy to clean and hygenic also its non printed ones I have.

Oh wow this is amazing, truly a dream situation! I love the sheds, can I ask where you got them from?

Re: New sheds complete!
I bought them from Anchor woodwork as they are just up the road, theres a bit of a leak on one roof but they are coming back to fix it thursday. I have now halfed the shed with a puppy pen and it has huge gaps but they are happy to sniff each other binky about then leave so I think theres an extremely good chance of bonding them. The 2 youngest are even leaving their bed to sleep at the mesh near nougat. They are very tired and sore though, they came home from their spays last night, Zack has the runs but im gonna make something tasty to see what they eat tonight, we can deal with the runs as long as they get something in them. All my girls took the first day to get much appetite though

Re: New sheds complete!
All eating this morning and no runs now so I feel much better, they are still prefering to sleep near each other through the puppy pen bars and are not attempting to nip at each other in the slightest even though thay could through very wide bars so whats peoples thoughts on trying to bond once the wounds are healed? Nougat is the oldest and likely to come out one top and was neutered ages ago so her hormones are pretty little wich is most important. This morning they were all asleep and nougat was dosing on the hutch roof looking over everyone...cute
