Jelly is a little off Empty Jelly is a little off

Mum says she ate fine this morning, but this afternoon she didnt take a treat from me, and i even tried the naughty toast she isnt allowed, and she wouldnt eat it. Domino stole it, so hasnt done his weight any favours!

Anyway, given them their dinner and she basically just nibbled two pellets. shes not in stasis but something isnt right. I think her teeth are bothering her, now normally i would wait until tomorrow as sometimes she DOES have "off days", shes always been like that. But its a four day weekend and i am going up to see Amy (Amy and Amber), so i wont be around and Dad is looking after them

so i just feel its responsible to get her checked over. Mum and Dad are not happy and think its a waste of time/money. I said if all is well she can have her myxo jab as its due anyway, and if not, trip well spent!

But theyre not having it, think im making a fuss. I probably am, but if her teeth are bad and need doing, why wait for her to be in stasis too?!

Aww, sorry to hear that SarahJane, you poor little bunny.
I'd go with your gut and just get her checked over, I think you should always go with your gut feeling when it comes to your bunny.
After all, you know their behaviour/eating patterns better then anyone.

Let us know what happens, sending lots of vibes Jelly's way!!!

Well Mum went beserk at me, shouting at me in the car telling me i was selfish making her take me when nothing was wrong, she has had a bad day at work so i know its not me but it really upset me. So i had to take Jelly in on one crutch it was a nightmare.

She wouldnt let the vet look at her teeth, was grunting and biting, scratching. She has lost 100grams since her VHD 2 weeks ago. Taking her back saturday if she doesnt improve, and if she cant see them still they will do a GA, but hoping shes just having an off day.

She had her myxo, which i wasnt sure about in case she was poorly? but she said it was okay because they wont be doing a GA until the earliest Saturday, and by that time she will be fine. I think i probably should have said no? But i was really stressed out, and wasnt thinking. hope i havent made her worse?!

I hope Jelly is just having an off day and it is nothing serious. How is she at the moment?
I completely agree with you, why wait until she is in stasis which just makes things twice as bad.

I am frequently told I make far too much fuss, always worrying and going ott. But I just like to be safe. Little fur babies are so precious!

They are, and my Jelly is so precious, I would be devastated if anything happened to her. Shes my little beastie! She jumped right into my arms at the vets bless her, and snuggled into my chest! I always feel so protective of her!
